Shepherd’s Cottage is a beautifully restored one-bedroom retreat on a working farm. This delightful self-catering cottage is the perfect choice for couples, solo travellers, or small families looking to unwind in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside.
The cottage has been lovingly renovated to combine rustic character with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting living area complete with exposed beams, sheep décor, and beautiful furnishings. You’ll find everything you need to prepare and enjoy home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area.
The bedroom features a comfortable super king size bed dressed in crisp linens, wardrobe and full length mirror. A stylish wet room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC completes the interior space with complimentary bath, shower and handwash provided, and central heating keeps things snug throughout the seasons.
Outside, an enclosed garden offers a perfect spot to relax with your morning coffee or enjoy an evening drink as the sun sets over the farm. The garden is dog-friendly and ideal for guests travelling with up to two well-behaved dogs. There’s free parking on site and an electric vehicle charging point for added convenience.
Surrounded by farmland and nearby woodland trails, the cottage is an excellent base for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers. Public footpaths lead straight from the doorstep, with the ancient Stapleford Woods just a short walk away.

DOGS INFORMATION
Maximum of two well behaved dogs welcome in our cottages and are included in the price. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark. We request that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture. Dogs must be on a lead at all times in the court yard and shared areas. There are water bowls in the cottages. The cottages each have an enclosed garden so dogs can roam free. Stapleford woods is nearby and there are lots of walking trails.
HORSES INFORMATION
Horses also welcome! DIY livery charged at £50 per night per horse to include stable and turnout in individual electric fenced paddocks, as long as the weather is ok. Field only is £30 for the first night per horse, reducing to £10 per horse for any additional nights. Please note that both options are only available from May to September.
Guests staying in our holiday cottages can take advantage of exclusive access to our well-maintained horse riding arena. There is acres of farm land to ride across as well as fantastic rides around the local area.
We have mucking out equipment here, automatic waterers or buckets but you will need to bring feed and buckets and hay nets.
Hay and straw can be provided at an extra cost.

Ground Floor Specification
Open plan living space, dining and kitchen: Living area with smart TV, dining area and kitchen area which is equipped with fridge and freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and cupboard essentials including tea, coffee, sugar, cling film, foil etc provided.
Bathroom: Ground floor wet room bathroom with walk in shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
Bedroom: Super king size bed. Full length mirror, wardrobe, chest of drawers, smart TV and hairdryer.
Fully enclosed garden: Patio and grass area with garden furniture, brick BBQ (disposable BBQ provided) and outside dog washing facilities.
Car parking: Near accommodation. Electric car charging point available on site.
Please note that access to the cottage includes a drop curb and a small incline with a paved pathway leading up to the entrance, which may require extra care for guests with limited mobility.
