Tucked away in the peaceful village of Stapleford, Lincolnshire, Hunters Lodge is a unique two-bedroom cottage brimming with character, comfort, and countryside charm. Perfect for friends, families, or couples travelling together, this delightfully quirky retreat blends rustic features with thoughtful modern touches to create a truly memorable escape.
Once the hub of the working farm, the cottage retains many of its original features - think exposed beams, mismatched vintage furniture, and unexpected nooks that make every corner feel full of personality. The open-plan living space is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating, and a fully equipped kitchen ideal for cosy dinners in. The downstairs bathroom offers the perfect place to relax with a large bath and complimentary bath, shower and handwash provided.
Upstairs, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms: both with king-size beds and designed to reflect the cottage’s playful charm while ensuring a restful night’s sleep. You'll find quirky beams in both bedrooms - mind your heads!
Outside, a private garden and patio - perfect for morning coffee, alfresco lunches, or stargazing under big Lincolnshire skies. With plenty of walking trails nearby and the Lincolnshire Wolds, Stapleford Woods, and the coast within easy reach, it’s an ideal base for both exploring and relaxing.
Dog-friendly, full of character, and just a little bit different, Hunters Lodge offers a refreshing alternative to the ordinary.
OVERVIEW
DOGS INFORMATION
Maximum of two well behaved dogs welcome in our cottages and are included in the price. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark. We request that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture. Dogs must be on a lead at all times in the court yard and shared areas. There are water bowls in the cottages. The cottages each have an enclosed garden so dogs can roam free. Stapleford woods is nearby and there are lots of walking trails.
HORSES INFORMATION
Horses also welcome! DIY livery charged at £50 per night per horse to include stable and turnout in individual electric fenced paddocks, as long as the weather is ok. Field only is £30 for the first night per horse, reducing to £10 per horse for any additional nights. Please note that both options are only available from May to September.
Guests staying in our holiday cottages can take advantage of exclusive access to our well-maintained horse riding arena. There is acres of farm land to ride across as well as fantastic rides around the local area.
We have mucking out equipment here, automatic waterers or buckets but you will need to bring feed and buckets and hay nets.
Hay and straw can be provided at an extra cost.

Ground Floor Specification
Open plan living space, dining and kitchen: Living area with smart TV, dining area and kitchen area which is equipped with fridge and freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and cupboard essentials including tea, coffee, sugar, cling film, foil etc provided.
Bathroom: Ground floor bathroom with bath. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
Bedroom 1: King size bed. Dressing table, chest of drawers and hairdryer. Central beam in bedroom.
Bedroom 2: King size bed. Chest of drawers and hairdryer. Central beam in bedroom.
Fully enclosed garden: Patio and grass area with garden furniture and brick BBQ (disposable BBQ provided).
Car parking: Near accommodation. Electric car charging point available on site.
Please note that access to the cottage includes a drop curb and a small incline with a paved pathway leading up to the entrance, which may require extra care for guests with limited mobility. The cottages is on two floors and has central beams in both bedrooms . If you have specific accessibility needs, then please do get in touch directly.
